HELP!!! RAPTURE IS NEAR!!!! 2012???
Sunday, November 29, 2009, 11:18:00 PM
Alright, I have been blogging for quite some time. ( I meant writing and not video blogging. ;P) *Do I still know how to write? hehee... I guess so. Well, currently my life right now is pretty good. God has been with me throughout my rough moments and now the waves are clear and I can see the tame waters swirling and tickling the edge of my toes. Ah! Nature, how great is God's creation. :) I'm currently working part time with Dama Orchestra. I used to do my internship there and they want me to continue and I've somehow accepted the offer. Basically, I'm just editing some videos and continue to do some archive work. At the meantime, I'm still waiting for an answer from the Australia University (VCA - from now onwards, I shall just write VCA). If it's God's will and plan for me to go there and further my studies, then I shall be there and He will be with me and take me through as I know the rough ahead of me will be 10x more challenging than now. But, nothing is impossible in God. :) I've been spending lots of quality time with my family nowadays since I'm part time working. I miss spending time with them. We usually go out for dinner, do a little window shopping, buy some groceries, and watch a movie or chill in a cafe and talk about life. Last week, we went to watch this blockbuster you and I know about, 2012. Some people said it was really good. Some said with was bad. What about me? ![]() As you know big blockbuster are not always excellent, and I do not think this is a great film either. The director, Roland Emmerich, likes to touch on topics like the end times or something evade the earth and he loves to dig in to history and search for facts and create his brand new world of its own. Well, I do like how he loves to touch on interesting topic like that, I'm sure everybody loves mysterious, unanswerable questions and the end of days. I don't really like the story of the film. I know he wants to focus on family and I like how directors touch on family and bring awareness to people but the way he did it, I do not amuse me. Though, the visual effects and those loud grabbing-on-the-edge-of-your seats effect did work on me. I was basically in the cinema doing all these little weird gestures ( if you can imagine...hehehe...), probably the person behind me was going to throw his/her slippers at me. ;P Back to critical thinking, I really don't like how everything was just right and about time and they are all safe. In reality, I don't think it will ever happen. Hundreds of meteoroids come blasting towards earth and an airplane just flew pass safely? A cool limousine can just drive through cracks and picket fences, fly through buildings and land safely on the ground while the earth slowly sinks? I do not think it's possible. Therefore, I disagree with him in how he wants to make all the heros in the story safe. At least few people die, please! *even my mom was like, it's so fake! it's so fake!* I like how the director touches on the government and how dark politics were involve and how he deals with the different classes within people. I like how he tackles the poor and the rich and the people with power. The poor are always the last, the rich... thank god they got money to build such a big ship, so they get the chance to see awhile, and lastly the people with power. They are the ones who call the shots. I also like how presidents humble themselve to serve mankind. Well, I do hope in reality it's like this. :)But, it's good that Hollywood blockbusters always come with a good ending. Hopeful. My conclusion, I do not think the film is good nor bad. It was alright. :) So after watching the film, what's your feeling? Some people are afraid of that day to come. Some people do not even want to think about it. And many are already planning of what to do, what to bring and what to expect for that day. Me? I went to my mom's church and the pastor preached this during his sermon last week. Reminder: We, christians, need to seperate biblical truth and Hollywood fiction. :) It is true that what have been written in the bible and what have been prophesied is slowly coming to life. You can see false prophets deceiving people, you can see wars and rumours of wars, you can see nation fighting with nations, earthquakes, famine... and the list goes on and on. BUT, these are just the beginning of the birth pains. The worse is yet to come. Church will undergo persecution. Christians will be hated and killed. The temple is going to be desecrated. The sun will be darken, the moon will not shine and the starts will fall from the sky. Are you afraid? Am I scaring you? Well, these are all in the bible. Mark 13:13 "All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved." Christians, my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, Stand firm in Christ! Be strong in the Lord. I hope that you are having peace in your heart right now. End times is near. But, we are preparing for this greater day when Jesus is coming to take us all back to Him and He will give us a new body and make us clean again and we will no longer suffer on earth. We will praise and worship at His feet everyday of our lifes. :) How amazing is His love! Amen! Semper Fedelis JayTee |
